Q. What happens if it rains?
A. The concert is moved inside the Truro Public Library if it rains. Check our Facebook page for updates. If you've never attended a rock concert surrounded by books, you've missed something special.

Q. What's new for 2026?
A. Food truck! We've invited a food truck, so no more mad dash to get food to bring to the concert. We've also adjusted our advertised start time to 6:00 PM.

Q. What are these Showcase acts all about?
A. Showcase acts give young or emerging local artists some exposure and experience. They generally perform one number at 6:15 PM prior to the headline act at 6:30 PM. We started this for the 2024 season and expanded it in 2025. When we don't have a musical act, we sometimes provide an opportunity for local non-profits to make a pitch.

Q. How can I support free Truro Summer Concerts at the Truro Public Library?
A. Attend a concert and make a cash or check contribution, or click here to print a donation form and mail with a check. Thanks!
We are supported by your donations, local businesses and grants. We are self-funded; we do not get financial contributions from the town, but they provide valuable support services such as accounting that help make our life easier and keep our costs down.

Q. Do you have a Facebook page?
A. Yes, here.
*********
Q. Is this the same free concert series that was previously held on the Village Green in Truro Center?
A. Yes. We moved to the Truro Library location in 2018 after the Village Green (aka Snow's Park) was flooded and we lost our stage.

Q. Who created that beautiful image that was on your website, poster and rack cards in prior years?
A. That's from an original painting by Truro's own Bill Evaul.
*********
Q. Who created your beautiful posters?
A. For 2023 and 2024 that was Deb. For the 2025 & 2026 season, it was Concert Committee member Bruce Ployer.

Q. What are the facilities at the Truro Public Library location?
A. Plenty of free parking, accessible rest rooms and lots of books. Bring a blanket or lawn chair and a picnic. Music-loving dogs on a leash are OK. No alcoholic beverages, please.

Q. Who is responsible for free Truro Summer Concerts at the Truro Public Library?
A. The Truro Concert Committee is an all-volunteer group in the Town of Truro, MA. Our mission statement and current members are listed on the Town's web site. You can contact us at: truroconcertcommittee <at> gmail <.com>.
*********
Q. Who books your acts? How can I get our band booked for a future year?
A. We generally book acts that are based on the Cape. Come to a concert and speak to one of the Truro Concert Committee members.

Q. Where can I get information on the indoor winter concerts at the library?
A. Those excellent concerts are produced by the library, so we can't take any credit. Check the Truro Public Library web site or the library newsletter for more information.
